About Us

We are John and Judi Downey. We have been married since 1968 and have two sons, Matt and Kyle. We have lived in South Oceanside since 1975. John is retired from driving a fire truck for Cal Fire. Now, he spends most of his time with our birds. Judi has a home business as a lab tech making orthodontic appliances. We have had homing pigeons for over 30 years. It is a lot of work to keep healthy, happy birds, but the enjoyment that we get and provide is wonderful. Seeing the flight of our white birds is like glitter in the sky.
